Growing Scientific Minds
We are delighted to have secured funding from The Edina Trust to run an outdoor science project to support the science curriculum around growing, wildlife and the environment.
5 lucky schools in Ceredigion, Wales will be supported to embed practical activities into their science curriculum and develop their grounds to allow for more science exploration.

Developing their science curriculum
Kim will be working with the school staff to review their science curriculum and consider where more practical outdoor activities can be introduced to inspire and encourage new scientific thinking.

Developing their scientific enquiries
As its name suggest we hope this support with grow scientific minds, giving them opportunities to think scientifically, develop their own enquiries and investigate their ideas. Students will agree their own project outcomes to develop their grounds over a year.

Developing their outdoor space
Each school will receive a £800 grant to spend on developing their outdoor spaces and for equipment to use it to explore science further.

Developing their aspirations
As well as inspiring the students to care for and nurture their local environment the project aims to raise awareness of science careers by introducing them to various professionals in plant and environmental science.
